Summer Intern, Procurement

The Opportunity
As a Procurement intern at One Medical, you will be responsible for evaluating the procurement process and suggesting improvements. Leverage highly developed analytical and communication skills, you will assist with supplier contract negotiations, the onboarding of new suppliers, and managing strategic sourcing projects.
 
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Procurement, you will be involved in procurement and sourcing process improvement projects. You will also partner closely with key stakeholders in supply chain, finance and other departments.

What you’ll likely work on:
  • Review spend from key care operations suppliers and the items we purchase from them to identify cost savings opportunities.
  • Document procurement internal SOP for key processes.
  • Survey stakeholders on the Procure to Pay process, to make continuous improvement.
  • Support Iora supplier rationalization effort.
  • Develop supplier business review schedules, identify supplier process improvements, and work with internal stakeholders to align and execute to these improvements.
 
What you’ll need:
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills. Strong negotiation skills. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving skills.
  • Currently in your junior year or upcoming senior
  • Strong project management skill. Proven ability to multitask, organize, schedule, and track information to and from various sources.
  • Ability to work cooperatively across multiple functions and within a team-based structure.
  • Excellent understanding of upstream and downstream supply chain processes.
  • Demonstrates initiative, flexibility and provides complete follow through on areas of responsibility
  • Technology savvy. Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft office


This is a paid hourly internship, 40-hour per week for at least 10 weeks. Our 2022 internship program is currently set up as a virtual internship (subject to change) in which interns can be located in any state that we operate in, however, your core hours will align with the standard business hours for the team you are working with during your internship.
