Summer Intern, People Experience

The Opportunity

As an intern on the One Medical Core Human Resources (HR) team, you will be at the forefront of helping team members thrive in their careers. You will support our learning and development efforts to share career development opportunities with current One Medical employees, learn about what goes into creating an effective onboarding program for new hires, and research methods to make our learning programs as engaging, effective, and fulfilling as possible. With the support of your manager, you will not only learn about human resources but also share your insights and perspectives as we are always looking for new ideas and creative solutions in key areas. If you are someone who likes finding creative solutions to difficult problems, teaching people new things, and helping people reach their full potential, an internship and eventual career in human resources might be great for you. 

What you'll likely work on:

  • Shadowing our full-cycle onboarding process for new team members from your first day in orientation to our onboarding summit so you can provide a fresh perspective and offer improvements
  • Gather and analyze data on our learning opportunities to create data-driven engagement campaigns 
  • Interviewing team members throughout One Medical about their career development journeys and writing up their stories for an internal series
  • Supporting the team with the necessary logistics to run an effective HR function such as drafting newsletters, updating our internal wiki, analyzing survey data, creating trainings and answering common employee questions
 
What you’ll need:

  • Rising Junior or Senior 
  • An interest in human resources, healthcare, and corporate learning
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to process complex information and explain concepts in a clear concise manner
  • Growth mindset and desire to try new things and learn from others
 
This is a 40-hour per week internship, currently set up as a virtual internship (subject to change) where you can be located in any state that we operate in with a preference for being able to work PST hours.
