Duties
At the entry level of this position, you will:
- Observe and/or assist senior staff with site inspections at regulated facilities where problems typically are easy to identify and conventional in nature;
- Investigate a segment of routine violations of environmental laws and assist in preparation of enforcement actions;
- Under close supervision and direction, provide routine regulatory compliance assistance during recurring inspections, investigations, and compliance assistance visits;
- Assemble case files for civil and criminal actions.
When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses.
